The Maltipoo​
The Maltipoo breed has a relatively short history, having started breeding in the 1990s in the United States. It arises from the cross between maltese and poodle. It is, therefore, a dog created to merge the most outstanding characteristics of both types: the docility of a lapdog like the Maltese added to the silky coat of the Poodle. They usually weigh between 2.5 and 6 kilos. Their life expectancy is between 13 and 15 years. Color apricot ( peach ), more popular, o black, always depending on the genetics of the parents.
Despite not being officially recognized by any association of dog breeders, they are highly sought after for their affectionate nature. They are ideal for living in small apartments and urban environments. Fantastic as a companion dog for people who live alone and for families with older children.
